Naltona is a traditional union of Barguna Sadar Upajlo. The area of this union is 17 square kilometers. With various ancient and traditional, schools, madrasas, mosques and temples, this union with its reputation is going step by step with the current state.

This union is formed in 11 villages. 1) Azgarkathi, 2) Golbunia, 3) Naltona, 4) Amtala, 5) Garjanbunia, 6) Sialia, 7) Padma, 8) Kumirmara, 9) Nasianbaria, 10) Gazi Mahmud, , 11) Sonatala. In terms of organizational structure, it has been divided into 9 wards. People of different religions including Muslims, Hindus are living here. The population of this union is 37200 people (approx).

Where there are 19000 males and 18200 females. Geographically, this union is bounded by Bishkhali and Payra rivers from south to south, Nali canal to the north, Nali Dhan river to the east, Bishkhali river to the west. The education rate of this union is 85%, birth registration is 80%, sanitation is 60%. Most of the people of this union are engaged in fishing and agriculture. There are also people of various professions including employees, expatriates, businessmen.
